This is a large antique ink well. An English, crystal glass, desk ink well dating to the mid-19th century, circa 1850.
Larger than most at 13 cm, 5 inches high
Hexagonal in form with floral base pattern
Hinged lid opens smoothly
Canted shoulders, one with very minor chip
Flared base in good proportion
Rare to find at such a size, presented ready for the home.
