A fantastic antique Victorian birds eye maple writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840-1860 period.
It is of outstanding quality, with gorgeous birds eye maple grain patterns throughout. It stands on bold, turned and fluted legs with porcelain casters, the back is also nicely finished so this can be used as a free standing item. The inset black leather top has blind tooling around the edge, and compliments the light wood tone beautifully.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
