This table is exquisite, its one of the finest examples I have ever seen. The piece came to me almost black from over paint and poor ebonising, the plus side was that this coating had protected the timber under. My French polisher has washed it back totally and found this sublime timber patina under, it’s then been totally refinished and what you see now is a work of art.
The table has Georgian Irish influences all over, the lions heads at the top are clearly the work of a master carver, they flow beautifully down the long elegant cabriolet legs and finish with equally sublime lions hairy paw feet which are seated on the original solid brass castors. This table is a tour de force of style, charm and looks expensive and important in any setting
In terms of the restoration as mentioned its been stripped back and restored with a full French polish, there are still age and use related patina marks which have been intentionally left in, the table is honestly the best of its kind I have ever seen

Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
