I’ve only ever seen one other in this size before and it was retailing for nearly £8,000 They are very rare, designed to take on campaign so they are small and lightweight, later in life it may have been used in a library or study, for today it can be used for exactly the same function, this is the best possible kind of antique, one that looks stylish and sophisticated and still has a function
Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it, it has a genuine period patina which is to say there are marks as you would expect based on age and use, naturally the original key has been lost over the years, you can have a new one made for a few pounds, you will need something to open the cupboard door, we can provide a dummy key or fit a handle

Condition
Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition.
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
