An exhibition quality 19th Century burr walnut mirror back credenza, the shaped mirror back top comprising of a large central mirror and two smaller mirrors either side, decorative arched top and shaped frame incorporating a large ormolu mount at the top and several smaller decorative mounts throughout the frame, intricate ormolu moulding along the edge of the central mirror and a shaped shelf either side on the smaller mirrors. The bottom section having a lovely shaped and figured burr walnut top with a moulded edge, large central glazed door below with the same intricate ormolu moulding around the edge of the glass as above, opening to reveal a red velvet lined interior with two decorative shaped glass shelves, the cabinet having at either side a mirrored back compartment with two fixed shaped shelves with an ormolu moulded edge, the front of the cabinet having bold foliate ormolu mounts and the whole piece is raised upon a shaped plinth base. Superb warm walnut colour and in excellent condition. Circa 1860.
