English pair of rosewood pedestal cabinets with barley twist carved columns, cathedral arched hinged doors, interior shelves on plinth bases. The graining of the rosewood is stupendous with book matched veneers to the front of each pedestal. These unusual 46 inch tall cabinets are finished on all four sides and the top with highly grained rosewood. The barley twist columns and the detail to the arch echoes the quality of craftsmanship and wood found in these cabinets The interior has three removable shelves in each pedestal. Their narrowness – 18 1/2 inches- makes them easy to place, flanking an entrance or in opposing corners of a room, or between windows to name but a few possibilities. circa 1850
