Circa 1970’s “Uppställning I” Still Life Oil Painting With Bottles and Fruit by Swedish Artist Per-Olof Nord

Lovely expressionist oil on canvas by Swedish artist Per-Olof Nord depicting a still life with bottles and fruit on a table. Expert paint application with thick layers in a harmonious soft color palette. Signed by the artist “Nord” on the front lower right of the canvas. Presented in a gallery wrapped wood frame which appears to be original to the painting. This painting is stunning in person and difficult to capture its full beauty in photos.

Per-Olof Nord is a visual artist and draftsman. Born 1936 in Växjö. Autodidact. He paints in oil, expressionistically, with clear colors and strong brushstrokes. The motifs are figure compositions, landscapes and still lifes. He has exhibited several times at the Skåne Art Association, Galleri Holm in Malmö, Galleri Uppåkra, and Galleri Opus. He is represented by Malmö Museum and Helsingborgs Museum. His scholarships include the Malmö Culture Scholarship in 1969.
