An outstanding antique Victorian leather barrel back wing armchair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840-1860 period.
It is of superb quality and is a great size, large and comfortable but not too imposing. The barrel shaped back is fluted with scrolled arms and a feather filled cushion. It stands on beautifully turned solid walnut legs with solid brass casters.
We have had the frame fully re-upholstered in russet leather which has been hand coloured to give this gorgeous colour tone and patina. The legs have also been stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent throughout.
