Extremely good quality fiddleback mahogany veneer Wellington chest of drawers, made in England, circa 1850. The attractive double moulded top, rests on seven mahogany lined drawers with original wooden screw threaded turned knob handles. The drawers are flanked by moulded hinged pilasters, one of which has a side locking mechanism with a functioning key enabling the drawers to all be locked securely. The chest sits on an ogee moulded plinth. The original pine back is made of a twin panelled construction.
