Rare pair of antique specimen marble console tables – featuring a variety of inset marbles and onyx to all sides within a tooled hardwood frame – each leg a reverse obelisk terminating on a ball foot, all four sides of the legs finished (important if set against a mirrored wall) – scroll details to the apron on three sides – black lacquer tops with a satin finish – United Kingdom – circa 1840.
Excellent antique condition – stress cracks in a few of the marble tiles – minor loss to the hardwood frame – scuffs and scratches to the black lacquer tops – signs of age and use.
