This antique cast spelter figural cherub lamp has no maker’s marks, but is presumed to have originated from Italy in the late 19th century and in Victorian style. The lamp features an ornately cast cherub standing on a round pedestal which sits on a three footed base with scrolled leaf decoration. The central cherub is holding the ornate serpentine post that holds the light which emits a warm glow through the ruffled opalescent shade. The entire lamp is done with a flat black or gun metal patina.
