Early 19th century inlaid french mahogany 6-drawer chest with inlaid turned columns. Profusely inlaid on all surfaces with foliage, birds and butterflies. Later handles, as this would have always opened on the key.
Top over-sailing drawer with salt and pepper inlaid cornice. Beautifully matched inlaid drawer fronts, further full length inlay to both sides. Standing on 4 block feet.
Top surface is made of oak which would of originally had a piece of marble on the top, which is no longer present, but the oak surface has a polished finish.
Stunning piece and in good overall condition, fully restored and re-polished in our workshop. Expected old surface marks and very minor losses.
