Early 19th century painted iron safe circa 1830.
We are pleased to offer this cast iron safe in near original condition and still functioning today.
Cast fielded panels to front and sides, original key still works the functioning lock, door opens to reveal a later wooden interior, which is certainly of some age itself. Carrying handle for the very strong on the top. Later painted in a black and green scheme.
Expected rubbing and wear to paint, slight rusting to surfaces. Very heavy item.
