A rare Scottish highly decorative early 19th Century cast iron fireplace insert. A large outer plate displaying a central high relief cartouche showing a well cast mask of a woman. A raised arched and shaped border with well cast repeating detail, a three barred shaped fire front with three cast finials, ash pan door below. The detail to the cast funnel back is remarkable.
