Antique International Sterling Silver Stratford Art Nouveau Cheese Scoop 1902

This marvelous antique cheese scoop is created in gorgeous sterling silver and was made by International Silver Co. of Meriden, CT in the pattern Stratford, a beautiful Art Nouveau design that began production in 1902. The scoop’s pattern is laden with gorgeous floral motifs as well as graceful tendrils. Hallmarks are: Knight’s helmet with S inside a shield, Pat. Sterling. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Length from top to bottom=6-3/4 inches, Bowl width at widest=1-1/4 inches, Bowl depth=1/2 inch, Weight=48.8 grams or 1.58 Troy ounces . This marvelous sterling silver cheese scoop has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent antique condition, free from damage or repairs. There is very light surface scratching on the back side of the bowl, commensurate with age and use, but they do not diminish the beauty of this fabulous serving piece!
